I knew the author, Emily many years ago. She was my supervisor at Paymentech. She was always a professional, friendly and wonderful person. She never shared what she was going through with me, so to read her book and hear about her experiences, was heartbreaking. Emily did a wonderful job telling her story and I would recommend her book to anyone. Emily is writing a second book that is coming out soon! I will definitely be reading it!

Emily did a phenomenal job walking the reader through her journey, and did it while being both vulnerable and exuding so much strength. She was able to take me to the depths of her hell then took me to the strength in which she used to survive her harrowing experiences. I read this book very quickly and it was difficult at times because of how real it was. This is someone’s real-life story so, to read about what she has gone through was rough and inspiring. I would recommend reading this book and learning about others struggles on the road to sobriety, to recognize that these paths are not always the same.
